Here is a quick video showing where I set two stride regulators on the dog walk for Echo. Lately I have been training other dogs with a stride regulator on the ground roughly 4-7 feet past the end of the dog walk to better control the actual exit off of it. I think I have video posted of an A-frame set up using the same approach. I would recommend that.
Below, I am comparing lots of handling positions, racing, running with, pulling away laterally, and hanging back and not moving at all. What I am aiming for is a consistent performance no matter what I am doing. Throwing the ball under the dog walk did not help on the third example - placement of reward!!!!
